One day workshop, offers pre-teen and teen boys a chance to connect with a positive peer group, and build self-confidence through the philosophy and movement of martial arts and yoga. Fun and playful class teaches philosophy and movement of yoga through games, stories, meditation, breathing, activities & discussion. Kids build self-esteem, self-awareness, focus and body control, while learning tools to positively impact their communities and the world.

Three unique summer camp opportunities are available in the central district for kids and teens.  All camps welcome special needs and some financial aid is available, Tree house funding is welcome.  Camps utilize central district parks, libraries… and include service projects to help the neighborhood!

Kids Self-defense, Kung fu & Yoga (SKY) Camp

Fun & playful camp builds self-esteem in a supportive environment. Movement and philosophy of self-defense, martial arts & yoga are combined with tumbling, dance, meditation, games, art projects and activities. Mornin focuses on S.K.Y, afternoon includes playground, water play, library and service projects. Teens 12+ can apply to be junior counselors

Yoga for ADHD!3{2}KIDS & CAREGIVERS

Kids 5-11yrs who struggle with ADHD ADD  or just focus & self-calming are invited to this special one time workshop, along with caregivers of ADHDADD children (of any age). Kids will spend their time in a fun and supportive environment building self-esteem, while experiencing and learning tools for self-calming, attention to task,  relaxation and control of body and breath. Great opportunity to connect with peers. Caregivers will have a chance to connect with other caregivers, learn tools for working with ADHDADD, and for taking care of themselves. Relaxation experience provided!     Located at 1806 E. Yesler Way   – The Samarya Center!

Girls Self-defense Six week series 7-12yrs

Girls 7-12 years are invited to participate in a six week self-defense and empowerment series, presented by Harmony Arts!    Mondays 5:45-6:45pm , starts Monday Feb 21st. $60 for the series, some scholarships are available.   Located at 16th and S.  Girls will practice self-defense skills including, boundary setting, verbal de-escalation, walking away from a situation, saying no, escaping grabs, street safety & strikes kicks. Group includes yoga, relaxation techniques and elements of kung fu & dance. Games, small & large group discussions and writing enhance the skills taught. We empower girls to build positive social skills, body image, boundaries, self-confidence, self-awareness and self-expression. Confidential group creates a safe and supportive environment for girls to grow to their fullest potential. Instructors are sensative to issues of trauma and general adolescent challenges. No belt ranking in this class

New Kids Teens Saturday classes!

HARMONY ARTS offers new Saturday morning classes starting this coming Saturday February 5th!   

Our inclusive program is based on principles of empowerment, peace, and respect for self and others. Classes combine movement and philosophy of self-defense, kung fu, and yoga, with the influence of dance, tumbling and healing arts to create an eclectic and holistic approach to training mind, body and spirit.

Each student is met where they are at, and encouraged to reach their greatest potential and happiness. Through training, students learn diligence, focus, body-awareness, self-expression, compassion, global awareness, peace-keeping skills, celebration of differences, self-esteem, and physical competence. Physical training includes strengthening, stretching and agility exercises, and students move through a belt ranking system.

$90 for 9 week session.    FREE trial class for new students.  Must pre-register

Scholarships Available for Youth 10-16yrs!!!

Harmony Arts offers Self-defense, kung fu & yoga classes for kids and teens 18mnth-18yrs in the Central District. Specialized programs also include Girls empowerment and therapeutic groups. 

Two scholarship spots are available for youth 10-16yrsold to attend class Tue Thur 4:45-5:50pm. Must be low income and be available to start on September 14th.
