Salty Dog Rescue is based in the Central District and is excited to have so many families in the neighborhood now calling a Salty Dog their very own. If you or someone you know is looking for a new canine buddy this event is the place to be. 

We at Immortal Dog are passionate about saving dogs lives and we love holding these events. We are so glad to be your neighborhood pet supply store. Being a small business over the past few years has been rough but we are trying to hold on. Your new and continued business keeps our doors open and allows us to keep doing these events to help save pet lives. We have everything you need for your canine and feline friends. We have a loose dog in the neighborhood. Last seen on 23rd and Jackson. 

A 55lb black german shepherd. His name is Sampson but he most likely will not come if called. He just came from the vet and needs to take his medicine. 

Please be careful if you find him he is scared. 

He is a rescue dog with Salty Dog Rescue.

Happy Holidays! If you are looking for a new canine companion – look no further. We are hosting a special adoption event next Saturday December 10 from 11-3. 

Salty Dog Rescue will be in store with about 20 of their adorable pups ready to go home with you! 

Make a difference in a pups life – adopt! We are excited about this and are fostering an adorable little chihuahua mix that will be at the event Saturday. 

Also joining us is Zip Car and Rover.com. Zip Car wants you to know you can travel in their vehicles with your pets – they just need to be in crates. Rover.com wants to provide you with dog sitters no matter where you are in Seattle. Stop by say hi and see what they are all about. Zip Car will be raffling off memberships and pet crates – perfect for urban dwellers. 

We are hosting another adoption event with Under-Dawgz Rescue tomorrow Saturday the 6th from 11-3. We will have a wide variety of pups ready for their forever homes. So if you or someone you know are interested – show up early as there is usually a line of people excited for a chance to scoop up their perfect pup.

We also have one lovely kitty coming to our event – a 1 1/2 yr old calico manx – she is great with kids, tolerates dogs and is adorable!

Hello fellow neighbors!!!!

I wanted to share some updates from Immortal Dog – your neighbor hood pet store.

I am carrying two great lines of dehydrated raw food. What is that you ask? Dehydrated raw food fits between kibble and raw meals. These foods are gently dehydrated to ensure all the nutritional goodness is intact. All you need to do is add warm water. If you are interested in the values of raw feeding come check these products out. Also great to take on vacations and trips with your dog as a current raw food replacement.

You asked and here it is. I am now carrying California Natural for dogs. This food is for dogs with allergies and sensitive stomaches. There are three varieties – the most popular being the Lamb and Rice.

Another great food being added to the line up very soon is the brand new Canadian food – Horizon Legacy. A great grain free food that is brand new to the market. If you are currently feeding grain free, this food is a fantastic one to rotate to.

And remember, with the warmer weather your four legged friend needs special care to stay safe. Keep fresh water available at all times, never leave your pet in the car – even a few minutes can be deadly, and reduce long outside adventures when it is really hot.

If you need to cool your dog down quickly, concentrate on the belly and chest where all the major organs are. Use wet cold towels or a hose outside.

Happy Spring everyone!!!

I wanted to give a quick update on the store and some of the new offerings I have.

Thanks for all of your support. My first month open was awesome and I was so happy to meet so many great neighbors and their pets. I look forward to meeting more of the neighborhood as time goes by!!

With the nice weather starting to approach, I have brought in fresh live catnip and cat grass. Come on by for a little container to make your pets day.

I now have the full Orijen grain free line including the 6 Fish Formula. This food line is from Canada and ingredients are regionally sourced. This is a fantastic food line for cats and dogs.

I am continuing to receive pet beds in stock and can custom order beds from several different companies. I also have deep nesting style cat beds.

I continue to add kitty toys and snacks to my line-up. Check out the new jerky style treats and the feather toys.

As Spring approaches, the time comes for baths and brushing to remove winter coats. I have a wide selection of grooming products to make this chore easier. Also consider dropping by for fish oil to add to your pets food. This amazing supplement is packed full of healthy oils and works wonders on coats, dandruff and dullness.

I wanted to update you on some of the incoming products that have been requested by customers.

Next week, I will be receiving 2 varieties of frozen raw food for dogs and cats (including an organic product). If you have ever thought of feeding raw as a complete diet or as a supplement to your pets current diet, come see me and let’s talk raw. I would love to share with you how this type of feeding can benefit your pets health.

I should be receiving the Orijen food line within 2 weeks.

I have a variety of kibble puzzles for your dogs arriving soon. Ask me why your dog should work to eat!

I will have a couple new biscuit flavors arriving fresh from my kitchen soon : Sweet Potato Bacon and Apple Cinnamon.

Also, I should be receiving a small selection of small animal products (bird, rabbit, hamster) next week as well.

Some have asked after different food brands that I am not currently carrying. I will not carry foods that have been a part of any recall (Nutro, Blue,Royal Canin, Science Diet, etc.). My food selection tries to focus on diets that are the best for your pet based on research and product testing. If you are feeding something that I do not carry, let’s talk about what I can offer you.

I am passionate about your pets nutrition. I continue to research foods, and products to ensure I can assist with putting together the best diet for your pets.
