Our favorite Art Historian and Art Critic, Dr. Susan Platt, will present a selection of highlights of the SAM exhibition Elles from the Pompidou Center in Paris. The talk will begin with well known artists Frida Khalo and Dora Maar,and turn to outstanding women artists in display elsewhere in Seattle including the work of Negar Farijiani, an Iranian artist at the MIA gallery,Tanis S’eiltin at the Seattle Central Community College, and and Shirin Neshat at the Seattle Asian Art Museum.
We meet at the Central ( otherwise known as the Central Area Senior Center) at 7:00 PM (NEW TIME) on November 7th at 500 30th Ave S ( one block south of Jackson at King).
