This is the big day for the Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG challenge. The promotion will add $500,000 to a donation pool for Seattle-area non-profits for gifts made on Thursday. An alphabetical list of participating 501(c)(3) non-profits is here.

Consider this your public chance to make a pitch. Who are you giving to today? What local organizations deserve support?

Grow your gift! Donations made through The Seattle Foundation’s online Giving Center on June 23, 2011 between 7:00 a.m. and midnight will be stretched by $500,000, thanks to support for GiveBIG from The Seattle Foundation and local businesses.

  1. Capitol Hill Housing, they do great work and provide invaluable services to the community. Methow Conservancy, love the Methow Valley and want it to be preserved for future generations. Washing Trails Association, they build wonderful trails that I use all the time. Equal Rights Washington, they are out fighting the good fight. Three Dollar Bill Cinema, they provide an outlet for many in the LGBTQ community, whom may otherwise not. Give BIG!
