Come join your friends and neighbors at Midtown Plaza at 23rd & Union tomorrow from 10am – 2pm at the annual spring CD Plant Exchange. It’s brought to you rain or shine by Garden Central, the CD garden club.
You don’t have to give something in order to take something: new gardeners are especially welcome. We don’t keep score. Come gossip, catch up with old neighbors, meet new neighbors, trade in plants and garden-related bits and pieces, take some of same and have a great time.
It’ll also be an opportunity to sign up for a two-hour shift at the CD Garden Tour that’s June 4th. We need help and your time and all proceeds match funds from the Dept. of Neighborhoods grant to the CD Public Art Project. We’ll have a Plant Sale on June 4th, so if you have plants to divide or dig out that you’ve not gotten to, you’ll have another opportunity to donate them to a good cause.
Questions? come see us and we’ll answer them, even if we have to make it up.
Wow! Met new neighbors, and found a few new plants to bring home. As always, the people that stop by were interested in making our community better.
NOW — Watch for June 4th ticket sales ( same location on 23rd and Union, by the Post Office ). Tickets are for the lucky folks that get there early enough to snag them, and allow tours of some often unexpected hidden gems, by our neighbors and local gardens. Truely a chance to support our community.
