Spruce St. Park has new place for your chalk works of art

This weekend the city Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs dedicated a new art project in the sidewalk in front of the Spruce St. Mini Park at 21st & Spruce.

The dark colored panels are surrounded by tile that serves as a picture frame, and the smooth surface is designed for people to use as a community chalk board for art, poetry, or bulletin messages.

SuttonBeresCuller designed the project, funded by SDOT’s 1% for arts program.
