It’s nice to see that we’ve got a growing set of options for healthful food in the Central District. We’ve got the Madrona Market (open Fridays, 3pm – 7pm) and the new Jackson Street Central Market (open Saturdays, Sundays 9am-3pm).
And starting Saturday morning, we’ll also have the Clean Greens stand open near 21st & Fir. Clean Greens, now in its third year, is the Black Dollar Days Task Force project that has taken over a Snoqualmie Valley farm and used it to deliver affordable healthy food options back into the city.
The grand opening starts Saturday at 10am, and they’ll have fresh produce, music, vendors, food, and door prizes. The party runs until 3pm.
The butter lettuce, spinach and collard greens look great! Also available – mustard greens, radishes, onions and more. Pretty good for the first day.
