Madrona street festival on tap for July 24

What’s a neighborhood without a street fair to call its own?

Plans are moving forward for the first annual 34th & Union Street Festival, organized by BOOM (Business Owners of Madrona) on July 24. You should soon start to see an official poster in businesses around Madrona – once the final version is approved, we’ll unveil it on this site.

Like the annual Fremont Fair and University District Street Fair, the festival will offer food and drink, live music and items for sale from local businesses from 12-6pm.

The goals of the festival are both to bring the local community together as well as attract residents of other neighborhoods to Madrona and promote the commercial strip along 34th Ave.

The festival is still in need of local musicians for the entertainment portion, so you can contact Anni Ala at [email protected] to get involved.
