There was an extensive “manhunt” Saturday evening that appeared to be centered at Rainier & Charles, but police were searching in the I-90 Lid Park & Judkins as well. Any idea what was up, who they were searching for?

Yeah, we noticed that little bit of activity. About six squad cars, an active k-9 unit, and lots of police on foot. It was a little disturbing, saw plenty of backyard searching going on down Hiawatha street. I would love more information!
10:10pm – It was an attempted robbery of the Shell station 852 Rainier S. A man entered the business with a gun and tried to rob the store. Black male, 30s, short, heavy build, brown shirt, brown pants, dark hat, last seen eastbound on Charles. The area was locked down by police while K9 units tried to track the suspect.
Dogs followed a scent eastbound on Charles past Hiawatha and on up the hill and then back southbound on Hiawatha. But the scent died out and containment was released around 10:23pm.
