Stabbing (Pain) @ 16th & Jefferson

I just heard sirens and looked up the 911 site to see an “Assault w/ Weapons” in the 1600 block of Jefferson.   According to the scanner, a resident called 911 to report that there was a man at her door who had been stabbed. Operators believed that the victim was known to the resident, but the line disconnected before they could get additional information.

Officers arrived within minutes and reported that they were “detaining one hostile individual” at 16th & Jefferson. The victim was found at 17th & Jefferson, described only as a 50 year old male. Loud screams of pain could be heard in the background.

Update:  Sounds like this isn’t a stabbing after all: “Victim is complaining of a stabbing pain. Not finding any injuries at this point”.

  1. This is truly the only spot in town to get the info! I’m on 20th and saw three squad cars going down at full speed. Thanks for keeping us informed!

  2. This is a great tip on the 911 site. Thanks. Something happened on our street (2400 block of Irving) on Saturday night around 11:00. Is there any way to find out what happened this far after the time?

  3. You can search back to specific dates here:
