Thanks for posting. I feel like there’s a gap between actual crime in the neighborhood, and what’s reported (and thus our perceptions). It’s nice to have hard data like this. Unfortunately now that I’m reading blogs, I feel like there are far more shootings and other violence than I was aware of.
I wish we could Tivo the transmissions and sort through them when we get home each night.
The tivo idea is cool – I’d give it a shot if I knew it would be legal.
One thing to keep in mind – what comes across the radio is a fraction of actual incidents that police respond to. Most are dispatched through messages in their patrol-car computers.
