If you haven’t been down Jackson St. near 18th Ave. in the last couple of months, you might be a bit surprised by the changes. There’s a huge hole being dug on the old Wonder Bread property, where they’re building 247 “luxury” apartments and some ground-floor retail space.

Then look across 18th and you’ll see a smaller apartment development that takes up the south half of that block. And if you go down the hill one more block you’ll see the controversial site where Casa Latina will soon be moving when they depart their current location in Belltown.
