DIY Kimchi class this coming Sat. Jan 28

Are you passionate or just curious about kimchi? Here’s your chance! Join your neighbor and health counselor Kate Faulkner to learn about a classic method of veggie preservation developed in many cultures, and in particular the classic ingredients that go into the spicy Korean ferment. This won’t be your grandmother’s kimchi, but will give you a delicious and easy approach to making your own inexpensively and safely at home. If you missed my sauerkraut classes, don’t pass up your chance to learn how to make probiotic-rich, live culture kimchi at home. I will give you a step-by-step approach, we’ll talk about fermentation basics, why live-culture foods are good for you, how to make them inexpensively at home, and safety-tips. This empowering class will be a good intro or continuing ed for those who want to learn how to make many fermented foods that can enhance our senses, digestion, and total health. We’ll sample kimchi and get our hands dirty.
