We have developed activities designed to get young people listening, learning and thinking about their health and that of their communities. Our goals are aligned with the Jack and Jill of America Foundation’s five-point strategy. In that vein, this event helps to do the following:

§ Foster the building of character within children by imparting the makings for healthy choices and lifestyles.

§Instill cultural consciousness by emphasizing healthcare risks prevalent in the African American community and by imparting important facts and knowledge that bolster intellectual, moral, practical and emotional responsibility.

§Help youth provide leadership by promoting healthcare literacy community-wide.

§Create smarter, better informed youth

§Improve life skills

Free fun activities include: Indoor/outdoor Olympic-style games, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Play 60 Fitness Challenge, cooking demonstrations, healthy treats, , workshops and more.
