The Northwest African American Museum is marking the last day of the exhibit Xenobia Bailey: Aesthetics of Funk by throwing a funk party. Things get underway April 20 starting at 6:30 p.m. and run until 10. Oh, and it’s free.
Come celebrate the closing of Xenobia Bailey: Aesthetics of Funk at the Northwest African American Museum. Since the opening of The Aesthetics of Funk, visitors have asked to move and dance to the beats of Bailey’s larger-than-life crocheted creations. In response, we are setting the artwork to music for a good old fashioned get down. So get up! Bring your cool and your dancing shoes and get funky to the sweet sounds of DJ Chocolate Chuck. Also, enjoy light refreshments and the last day to view Xenobia Bailey: The Aesthetics of Funk will be May 6, 2012.
Free and open to the public
