The 12th Avenue festival (a CDNews sponsor) is kicking off this Sunday 8/15 from noon to 6pm, with food from area restaurants, live music, and a showcase of other neighborhood businesses.
The festival will be closing the street and taking over the whole block of 12th between Pike and Madison.
We’re especially excited about the food, which looks like it will include a bunch of tasty options, all priced at $5 and under. They have restaurants from all over the neighborhood participating, including Lark, Marjorie, Cafe Presse, Osteria La Spiga, Zobel Ethiopian, and more.
They’ve also got a big line-up of music planned with more than 15 performers, including Folk, Jazz, Blues, Rock, and kids music.
Check out the 12th Avenue neighborhood blog for more details, including a full list of bands and participating businesses.
It sounds great! Only the music lineup could be a bit more diverse. The Eastern European sounds interesting. I would like to see some more Latin vibes.
