We just stopped by to check out the Central Area Community Festival that’s happening today and Sunday, and stopped to listen to Angelo Pizarro, a really good blues guitar player that was on the music stage. Next up at 1:40pm is Triple Threat. See our post from yesterday for the full lineup.

Food options include hotdogs, sandwiches, cotton candy, and mini donuts.

And almost every city agency is set up in a booth on the field with information and job opportunities. We also saw several vendors with arts and crafts for sale.

The festival continues until 8pm tonight and noon til 6pm tomorrow, in the baseball playfield behind Garfield Community Center at 2323 E. Cherry.
