We don’t remember a previous year that was so chock-full of community festivals throughout the summer. It’s been fun!

Here’s the latest option, now in its 13th year: The Central Area Community Festival.

They’re setting up booths and a stage on the baseball field behind the Garfield Community Center, with food, vendors, and a two day lineup of music. It runs from noon to 8pm on Saturday, and noon to 6pm on Sunday.

Sunday:

• Noon – Sam Chambliss (jazz)

• 2:20pm – Randy Norris & The Full Degree (blues)
• 3:40pm – R Curtis
• 5:00pm – Sonic Funk Band
