Any+info+on+the+new+pea+patch+on+S+Main+St.+at+the+west+cul-de-sac+next+to+Lavizzo+Park%3F+Seems+like+a+private+endeavor+as+no+info+was+given+out+to+residents+on+the+block+for+participation+and+I+was+told+by+the+man+there+digging+that+anythying+harvested+was+for+use+at+the+upcoming+block+party+only.+None+to+be+used+for+personal+consumption.+What+is+the+city’s+laws+or+is+this+illegal+to+do+etc.+Looks+like+its+on+park+property.
And, so far as I know, he got one. It’s not a pea patch – more of a community garden (as opposed to individual, personal plots). I think things have been rocky getting it started, so I’m hoping for better organization next year when it’s established. The guy who’s been working on it (Arden, I think) gave notices to all the residents at the buildings that abut the cul-de-sac.
