The annual Shore Run/Walk along Lake Washington is this Sunday from 8am-12pm. The event, put on by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, is in its 33rd year.  Registration is closed, but best of luck to all participating – it’s a great event, with 2,600 runners expected this year.

Residents will want to avoid driving on Lake Washington Boulevard from about Seward Park to Madison Park that morning, as the road will be closed. 

For those busing it on Sunday, there will also be shuttle service from 8-11am provided for Rte. 2 passengers traveling to or from Lake Washington Blvd. and Madrona Drive. The Metro Transit alert has more info, but no stops will be skipped.
