All the Friday excitement in Seattle’s East Precinct:

Is there any way to find out if today’s burglary is related to the ones reported on Weds? Those other two happened on my block and to my neighbors. Just reading the address blocks posted here, it could very well have BEEN MY HOUSE. My heart skipped a few beats that day!
it would be cool if you’d record and post the scanner traffic from an evening and overnight instead of the daytime. I’d be curious what the calls are like after dark, if they’re different.
Love the scanner!
and maybe even weekends!
That kind of investigative detail is hard to get. But we’ll ask about it in next week’s EPCPC meeting
My home was one of the homes impacted by the unfotunate activities on Wednesday afternoon. I would rather just leave it at that, as I do not want to provide anymore details in such an open forum. I would however like to mobilize efforts on our block – start getting to know our each other better as neighbors and looking out for each other and our property. Needless to say this has been a terrifying experience for us and we would be more than happy to take the lead on setting up a block watch or even just an informal neighbor meet and greet. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, what is the EPCPC meeting?
EPCPC is the East Precinct Crime Prevention Coalition.
It’s the monthly opportunity for residents to talk with police leadership about the problems around them.
Did anyone else hear them? I’m really wishing I could tell the difference between firecrackers and shots :-
Happy to help with a Neighborhood meet and greet/block watch. Our block saw a similar crime wave about 4 years ago and I am sure we can do something about it. Please private message me by clicking through to my profile here on this web site.
