Serious break-in last night?

Through the email grape-line, I just heard about what amounts to be a very serious break-in that occurred last night at the 1900 block of 31st. Ave. South. Does anyone know any more of the details of what happened? According to the email, three individuals used a ladder to enter a (occupied) home through a open 2nd story window at 1:30 am. One of the occupants was seriously beaten and ended up in the hospital with a fractured skull.

    On 7-16-09, just shortly before 1:00 a.m., the victim called 911 stating that two unknown males had entered through the second floor window of his home in the 1900 block of 31 Av S., and assaulted him. The suspects then ransacked the home before fleeing. An area check by a K9 unit was negative. CSI and Robbery detectives responded to the scene. The victim was taken to HMC due to head injuries.

    The suspects are described as 2 black males, wearing brown jackets and pants.

    The investigation continues.
