Your Weekend Plans: Trees, Plays, Circus, and Brunch

After a week of dampness, we’re supposed to get some nice sunny and warmer weather this weekend. Here’s a few things from our community calendar to help you get out and enjoy it:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:30pm & 10:30pm – SITE Specific Cabaret – Six short plays written specifically for the Lee Center space at Seattle U. Tickets are only $10, and could be some fun local theater.

Saturday at 10am: Healthy Trees for Healthy Harvests – Got some fruit trees or summer garden plans? Go on a tour with your neighbors and chat with a sustainable gardening expert.

Saturday at 2pm: SANCA Circus – Although this is down south, it sounds like a fun local event and supports a good cause. Plus it could be your chance to carry though with your threats to leave it all behind and join the circus.

Sunday 9am-2pm: Mother’s Day Brunch – Treat your old ma to a tasty brunch at Mezzaluna (a CDNews sponsor). Certified moms get discounts on their drinks and chow.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7pm & 10pm – Romeo & Juliet double-feature at Central Cinema (a CDNews sponsor): one modern, one kinky, and both sound fun.

Have an event you’d like to see here?  Post it for free on our community calendar.

  1. the King County website says our Farmers’ Market at MLK and E Union opened on May 1st. I didn’t make it last week. Is it open for the season?
