It seems like spring is kicking into high gear around here, with lots of community events planned around the neighborhood.  Lots of opportunities our calendar to get out and meet some neighbors and give back to the community:

Saturday at 9am – Clean Greens Planting Party – A fun chance to meet some new folks, get your hands dirty, and help out with a great local organic food project.  

Saturday at 10am – Union/Cherry Spring Clean – Meet at the NW corner of 21st & Union and team up with your neighbors to spruce up the streetscape.

Saturday at 10am – 6pm – Green Organizers Mixer & Hip-Hop Fest – An earth week celebration with brunch, hip-hop performances, speakers, and discussions.

Saturday at 10am – Frink Park Work Party – A group of Leschi neighbors are getting together to clean up Frink Park down near Lake Washington.  

Saturday at 10am – Healthy Kids Day at YMCA – Giveaways, community booths, and a chance to sign-up as a member for free

Sunday at 4pm – Clean Greens Benefit at Central Cinema – Come watch film, enjoy community and support the Clean Greens Farm and Market.

Sunday at 4pm – Tent City Community Meeting – Meet the organizers and hosts of the new Tent City encampment at 22nd & Cherry

Sunday at 7pm – Run for the Roses Trivia Night – A festive night of drinks and equine-themed genius at The Bottleneck (a CDNews Sponsor)

Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 7pm and 10pm – LA Confidential – Showing at Central Cinema all weekend (a CDNews sponsor)
