I’m in engineering school and can’t really devote the time or nor intoxication level to try enough wine at the Grocery Outlet. For those of us who frequent their establishment for food and ethanol, we know that their wine selection is more or less a running experiment with our taste buds and digestive tracts. You get a bottle of wine one day for one price that tastes great only to try another one a few days later that is similar to Cisco Apricot. It would be nice to know what is a bad purchase and what is a good choice.
P.S. It is awesome they have a meat section now.
What are the ones you like so far? I usually hit the grocery outlet for random camping food (like individually wrapped servings of turkey spam and mini jars of spaghetti sauce), but I’d be up for reviewing a bottle or two…
funny name, but it’s cheap and pretty good
eh, unless its a major label I’d avoid their wine–for about 2-3$ more you can get a very decent sub-$10 bottle at QFC, the CO-OP on Madison, and even Safeway. I go there all the time and have noticed that many of their wines past their prime or have been cooked–overexposed to light and temps. Still many good frozen food deals (and yes meat deals) abound there.
very drinkable for $3.99…..
