We came across a police report that details how a mom and her two small children had an uncomfortable run-in with a pantsless sex offender in her business’s parking lot on South Dearborn. The victim had driven with her kids to her auto shop at 8:20pm on April 8th to pick up some keys. When she arrived she noticed an unknown man wearing only a waist-length jacket and tube socks who was snooping around the parking lot, peering into vehicles.

The suspect saw the victim and approached her vehicle and asked her for a lighter. She told him she was going to call the police, and he got into his vehicle and drove away. Police responded and found him hiding behind some parked cars not far away in the 1100 block of S. Poplar Place.

The 40 year old suspect, who lives in the 11000 block of Wing Point Way on Bainbridge Island, told police that he had earlier purchased about one-hundred dollars worth of crack cocaine and picked up a prostitute around Rainier Ave & S. Dearborn. They consummated their business deal in the parking lot where the victim later found him. The suspect also explained to officers that his pants are often a casualty of his crack use.

The suspect was taken to Harborview for medical treatment due to a possible drug overdose. The arresting officer requested that the suspect be charged with Indecent Exposure.
