As I was out and about over the weekend, I walked past 26th & Marion and saw a freshly poured traffic circle.
John Stewart from Feet First told me that it happened thanks to the cooperation of the neighbors in that area. They gathered accident data for the intersection and filed an application to get on the city’s list of projects. It turned out that the history of that intersection was so bad that they got bumped up to the top of the list.
John also says that the intersections at 25th & Marion & 25th & Spring are on the waiting list too, but they’re not as highly prioritized due to fewer incidents.
