  1. Between 11pm and 12am last night (Wed eve), a car sped north on LWB – much faster than the usual speeding on this street – from the arboretum towards Montlake Blvd. It was followed by several police cars with lights flashing but no sirens. They may have come from the 520 exit to LWB, but I don’t know for sure.

Given the speed of the first car, I fully expected it to lose control at the 90 degree curve, but we heard and saw nothing after it and the squad cars passed.

    Does anybody know what happened?

  2. i came down LWB from 520 at about 1130 and I saw two statees sitting at the entrance of LWB, but no action.

  3. There was a bit of loud screaming last night coming from around that same area, maybe around 10 or 11 PM.

  4. No more details on that. It happened so close to the other shots call that I think the units were sent on to the injury shooting once they saw there wasn’t a victim at 23rd & Pike.

But, I did get an email from a reader who said that several other neighbors also heard the shots, so it seems like it was definitely real.
