Has anyone noticed an increase in rat problems by the west bound bus stop at 20th and Union? Last night I got off the bus and there were three large rats just hanging out in the underbrush.
Who do I call about this?

When Club Chocolate City closed, all of the “business” moved down to Union.
When the buildings were demolished there was a plague of rats in the area. Strangely behaving rats, diagnosed as being “poisoned”, because the developer had sent the exterminators in weeks earlier. He (the developer) then worked with the neighbors to resolve the issue.
So I don’t think they’re rats from Deano’s!
Seattle-King County public health has a rats info and reporting line
(206) 205-4394 but I’m not sure if they’ll do anything about rats scurrying around on the streets.
They also have a generic rat info page:
