Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) Grand Opening

NAAM Grand Opening The Grand Opening of the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) has been a community-wide dream for more than 25 years.
Week-long Grand Opening festivities will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony, free public tours, children’s activities, live music and more on Saturday, March 8, from 11a.m.-4p.m. Opening week events at the Museum, including admission, are free to the public through March 16th.
The Museum’s Grand Opening week will culminate on March 16th with the Quincy Jones Extravaganza at the historic Paramount Theatre in downtown Seattle. This all-star concert will honor Seattle native and music impresario Quincy Jones with NAAM’s first Lifetime Achievement Award as well as celebrate the opening of the Museum. Ticket prices range from $25 to $250 and are now available for sale to the public through Ticketmaster and at the Paramount box office. Procees from the event will help support the community programs at the Northwest African American Museum.
