Happy Earth Day!  Here's the scoop from Seattle's East Precinct:

10:29AM - 23rd S & S. Dearborn - Weapons Call - A man in a silver Cutlass sedan with a maroon top pointed a handgun at a Metro Bus Driver. The vehicle was parked in the Parnell's lot. Black male, 20s, brown jacket. Three to 4 other males also in the vehicle. Update: The vehicle was gone by the time police arrived
10:55AM - 23rd S & S. Main - Accident - Two vehicle accident with injuries, blocking at least some lanes of 23rd Ave. One driver trapped. Update: Not any injuries or trapped people after all
11:52AM - 1300 Madison St - Disturbance - Several people from the methadone clinic are loitering in front of the Rite Aid and need to be moved along.
11:55AM - 400 E Loretta Pl - Suspicious Circumstance - Man was seen crawling in a parking lot while a car alarm was going off, Hispanic male
12:04PM - 33rd Ave and E Spring St - Assistance - Madrona Elementary needs assistance with the transfer of a child into protective custody
1:04PM - 2000 S Judkins St - Assault - Man with a restraining order and warrants assaulted the caller (petitioner) and fled in a maroon Town and Country minivan
1:06PM - 1401 S Lane St - Shoplifting - One person in custody at Goodwill
2:14PM - 23rd Ave and E Yesler Way - Disturbance - The caller is being followed and harassed by her ex-boyfriend whom she has a retraining order against
2:48PM - 1650 Interlaken Dr. E - Illegal Dumping - 10 min ago the caller saw two males dump appliance boxes into the park. White van, white truck with markings for a [name redacted] national appliance service chain. Nice - dumping trash in a public park on Earth Day
4:10PM - Swedish/First Hill Medical Center - Narcotics Activity - Unathorized Opiates - Staff has found "a good deal of heroin" on a patient.
5:24PM - 200 E. Roanoke - Suspicious Circumstance - Strange man staring at kids playing in the park

Who should we call to alert police to problems with red light runners at intersections? At the intersection of Charles and Rainier this morning, traffic was at a dead stop on Rainier for a good 10 seconds with trucks and cars turning off of Charles with their green light when someone blew through the red light southbound on Rainier, passing two lanes of fully stopped cars. I didn't get a plate, but the car in front of me narrowly avoided getting totaled.
