Seattle Section National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) is recruiting young and young-at-heart women who would like to fellowship with other community-minded women. The NCNW is a national volunteer service organization. NCNW was founded in 1934 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, founder of Bethune Cookman College, with $1.50.
In two years the Seattle Section of NCNW will be celebrating our 45th anniversary of providing literally thousands of dollars to worthy Seattle/King County activities, scholarships, programs, and activities.
Some of our activities and programs include providing scholarships, collecting scarves for our Cierra Sisters, an African-American breast cancer support group, publishing a monthly newsletter, an annual luncheon and an annual Summer Breeze Soiree.
