A man was hit in the head with either a hammer or a pick axe in an alley just after 10:30 a.m. Monday, according to Seattle police. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A witness called 911 at 10:37 a.m. to report that a man, who was walking south in the 1400 block of East Union Street, a few blocks east of Seattle University, had been attacked by another man, said police spokeswoman Renee Witt. The man suspected of hitting the victim “in the head with a hammer or a pick ax” was seen in the wearing all black, she said.
