The NELA Center for Student Success is pleased to announce our Fall Online Workshop Series! These workshops are free and available to everyone. The only requirement is that you have access to a computer and a high speed internet connection. If you need assistance finding a computer please contact us.

The fall online workshops are scheduled as follows:

Understanding and Preparing to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
December 8th, 6:30-7:30pm
December 15th and December 20th 3:30-4:30pm

Do you want to go to college? We can help!

The NELA Center for Student Success is currently recruiting for our Mentor2College program. The Mentor2College® program is a NELA® Centers for Student Success curriculum designed to equip high school students with the necessary tools to become successful college applicants. Within this free program center staff conduct informational meetings, focused college preparation workshops and Mentor2College community activities. The year-long M2C program will work with students in their senior year to:

 

  • Choose the right college
  • Complete college applications
  • Apply for scholarships
  • Understand financial aid
  • Provide college coaching sessions and college preparation workshops
  • Create a college plan
  • Develop critical thinking, leadership and life skills

Together, these components strengthen our participants’ knowledge, skills and commitment to the mission of achieving higher education. Additionally, all students who complete the program requirements will be eligible for a $3000 scholarship. To receive an application you can do one of the following:
