Seattle University is hosting this Saturday Aug. 28 its first Concert for Community, a free neighborhood event for families.
The event honors our neighbors and partners in community service. Everyone is welcome but alumni who live near the campus are particularly encouraged to attend and enjoy the music, free hot dogs and refreshments and donated treats by Cupcake Royale and Bluebird ice cream.
Our Master of Ceremonies is none other than one of Seattle’s most popular comedians, Rod Long, an SU alum. SU President Stephen Sundborg, S.J. will welcome the audience.
Enjoy music by the Garfield High Jazz Combo, the Total Experience Gospel Choir, the Goody Bagg Band and Anzanga Marimba. The event is presented in partnership with the Jackson Street Music Program. Bring a blanket or low back chair for the event held on the Green 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. For details and your free ticket for an individual or family, please visit http://www.seattleu.edu/concert/
