The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day rally starts at 11 a.m. at Garfield High School Monday. At 12:30, one of the largest MLK Day marches in the nation will start on its journey to the Federal Building downtown via Capitol Hill.

Monday is not only MLK Day, but it is also the inauguration of President Obama’s second term over in the other Washington. The Northwest African American Museum at 23rd and Massachusetts will be showing the ceremony. The doors open at 8 a.m.

Join the Northwest African American Museum on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to watch the 2013 inauguration of President Barack Obama. NAAM is pleased to host this community gathering to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and usher in the second term of our first African American president.
Doors open at 8 am.
