We Can Do Better, Can’t We? News from Upping Technology for Underserved Neighbors
Yes, there IS hope for improved broadband in underserved neighborhoods! CenturyLink is working diligently to get new broadband equipment placed in neighborhoods to start rolling out better broadband services. Success requires support from the public, especially with regard to locating broadband cabinet. Our “better broadband” volunteer group UPTUN has been helping Beacon Hill neighbors, with some success. Now we are seeking CD neighbors to do the same. Please look over the following maps which show where sites are proposed for installing broadband cabinets.
If you or someone you know lives near one of these locations, and may be willing to allow the company to place a broadband cabinet on your property or in the public right-of-way next to your property, please contact Jeff Lawrey, CenturyLink at 206-345-0333 or [email protected]. Jeff can talk to you about the equipment, discuss landscaping options and answer any other questions. Email [email protected] for more information or go to UPTUN’s site for more information:

I hope our housing development will advocate for this in our community.
