About Kids Helping Kids:
Kids Helping Kids is a civic engagement project for kids to help prevent and end homelessness for children in King County. Inspired by 6-year-old Rena Mateja who collected $506 in coins by going door-to-door asking friends and family to help homeless kids, Kids Helping Kids has evolved into a summer-long coin drive contest and a series of events for kids and families. Caspar Babypants is partnering with Wellspring Family Services on this project and offering a chance to win an original song-prize written about one lucky child who participates in Kids Helping Kids this year. About Wellspring Family Services:
Since 1892, Wellspring Family Services continues to provide a breadth of services that address the sources of instability for families. We help homeless families find and hold onto a place to live, teach abusive partners non-violent behaviors, provide counseling for at-risk families and individuals, and empower parents to nurture their children. Together, with your support, we are building a community where children and families thrive.
