Such a busy weekend! Today is also the third summer installment of the Second Saturday Art Walk.
The main hub of activity will be in the 2300 block of Cherry, across from the Garfield Community Center, where they’ll have letter press work, paintings, and prints. And they’ve also got a full afternoon of music and performances, with folk, guitar, hula hoops and the rock/blues/grunge of Reckless Nomad.
Plus there two additional art shows at 25th & Union, where Cortona (a CDNews sponsor) will have art by Joy Rufener, and the new hair studio next door will be showing Swing by Jeff Mihalyo.
And of course look for the food options at 23rd & Cherry too. Street Treats will be there, and the Taco City truck will move down the street from Union for the afternoon.
Had a great time meeting the artists and seeing their work. We cooled off with a delicious ice cream from Sweet Treats!
