Bank Robbery at Chase, 23rd & Jackson

Tonight the Chase bank at the corner of 23rd & Jackson was robbed at just a few minutes before 6pm.

The suspect was last seen southbound from the location, described as a black male, late 20s, 6′ tall, medium build, and unshaven. He was wearing a black puffy jacket, a blue baseball cap with a North Carolina logo, blue jeans, sunglasses, and carrying a grocery bag.

Containment was set up around the area and a K9 was brought in to search for the suspect, but the trail went cold in the 500 block of 25th Avenue south. The parking garage underneath the building was checked as well, but was clear.

It’s not clear yet if a weapon was used in the robbery.

This is the first robbery we’ve recorded at that particular bank. But according to SeattleCrime.com, the Bank of America across the street was robbed back in March of this year.
