Nancy Stewart sings at Madrona library Wednesday

Here’s a good activity for parents who are already wondering what to do with squirrelly kids now that school is out for the summer. Popular Northwest performer Nancy Stewart will be singing at Madrona-Sally Goldmark library tomorrow from 2-3pm.

Stewart will be performing songs with an emphasis on the Pacific Northwest coast, including tide pools and ferry boats. The event is free and open to the public, though it’s aimed at kids 10 and under.

The Seattle Public Library’s summer programs and events are a great (and free) way to spend the time off from school – they have over 700 summer reading programs for kids, teenagers and adults.
