Neighbors near the p-patch at 25th & Spring have been hard at work since December of 2007, planning, clearing, digging, terracing, and building. Plots have been assigned to the folks who put the most hours into the project., and n the last couple of weeks they’ve reached the final stage: planting. If you take a stroll through the patch now, you’ll see all sorts of little plants sprouting up.

The project got started when a group of neighbors banded together to raise money and apply for city matching funds. They succeeded, and transformed a vacant, blackberry-covered vacant lot into a great community amenity.
