I was walking my good dog Sam, no I didn’t use your trash can for his poop, when I heard the shots, so I mosied on over. The poor guy who got his window shot out was a construction worker, totally innocent, and – totally cool. He didn’t seem nervous, or upset at all. As soon as the police let him he unpacked his stuff – tools, hard-hat, etc. Police collected the shell casings, and went off to do whatever they do after a shooting. Feel sorry for the guy, hope he has “my window was shot out by some a-hole gang banger” insurance.
I just re-read my own post, and realized I’m living in a n’hood where I can just mosie on over to the scene of the latest shooting to satisfy my curiosity about shots fired. Sad. During the “crack-wars” I remember a neighbor telling me why he was moving, “I want my son to grow up in a neighborhood where seeing a cop car is an unusual thing.” I love my n’hood, but that guy had a point.
