Homework Help at the Douglass-Truth Library

Volunteers are available to help students of any age with any type of homework at the Douglass-Truth Branch of The Seattle Public Library (2300 E. Yesler). No need to sign up–just drop in–and it’s free! Regular hours are:

Mondays 4:00-8:00
Tuesdays 4:00-8:00
Wednesdays 3:00-8:00
Thursdays 3:00-7:00
Sundays 3:00-5:00

To confirm that Homework Help is available on the day you need it, please call the Douglass-Truth Branch at 206-684-4704.

Homework Helpers are also available at ten other library branches. Check www.spl.org for more information.

Plus, The Seattle Public Library offers an Online Homework Help service from 3:00-10:00 every day in both English and Spanish. Log on to www.spl.org, then choose “Homework Help,” then “Online Homework Help,” and enter your library card number and PIN to connect with a live tutor who’s an expert in a particular subject and grade level. Questions? Call the downtown library at 206-386-4636.

The library is here to help!

  1. I’m glad you’re interested in volunteering (and sorry I didn’t find out about your comment sooner). This year, we have a full crew of Homework Help volunteers at the Douglass-Truth branch. We always take on new volunteers at the beginning of the school year, so please contact the library in July or August. Other branches of The Seattle Public Library system may need more volunteers during this school year. Please contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator at 206-386-4614.
