I was on my way back from the grocery this weekend when I passed by a group of people working on a house on 22nd Ave near the intersection with Pine.  I stopped to chat and found that they were volunteers from Rebuilding Together, completing some repairs and additions to the home of a woman in her mid-80s.  

The team of seven was led by Julie Matsumoto and Dora Taylor, a neighbor here in the CD, and they were in the process of pouring a new sidewalk to access a wheelchair ramp in the back yard.   Earlier in the day they had removed an old storage shed and sunk posts for a new fence around the property.
