The seventh annual Chicks Play Hard will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Miller Community Center on Capitol Hill.
Chicks Play Hard is aimed at girls ages 9 to 13 and strives to build self-confidence in girls by providing them with a nurturing environment to try different activities and develop self expression. You may learn more at http://www.chicksplayhard.org
In these trying economic times, the event remains FREE for participants, and you may register via www.chicksplayhard.org
We’ve got an awesome line up this year – female fire fighters from Seattle will be leading a session, EMP/SFM will again donate recording equipment for our songwriting session and we are proud to also host rock climbing, double dutch (www.nwdoubledutch.com), Skate like a Girl http://www.skatelikeagirl.com/), yoga and a belly dancing session taught by women from the Middle East Arts organization http://middleeastarts.org/). Please join us – and we are also still looking for female volunteers. Questions? Send us an e-mail at [email protected]
