“i know exactly what he was thinking: you just get into the climb on Union, you’re riding right next to the parked cars, why take the trouble to get off of a bike while fire trucks go by?”
Uh, because it’s THE LAW?
And because it’s an EMERGENCY?
Maybe it’s time we started requiring bicycle licenses.
was the cyclist actually impeding the fire trucks’ progress?
If yes, then sure. If no – tell me there’s nothing more important to worry about? Seriously?
Anyone know why the gas station at 12th & Jefferson was surrounded by police vehicles and traffic was being diverted?

If the cyclists insist on riding in the street just like automobile then they should be required to obey the laws just like everyone else.
