After meeting a friend for $3.00 pizza in West Seattle, we were driving over the West Seattle bridge and saw the strangest thing: a large black ring hanging about 1,000 feet over SODO. At first I thought it was birds swarming in a strange pattern, but by the time we got off onto first and headed north a few blocks, it started to break up and appeared to just be smoke.

Anyone have any idea what would produce such a large and perfect ring of smoke? The Mariners game was going, but I can’t think of anything there that would do it…
