  1. We heard that one on the scanner today. The driver had refused to pull over near 23rd & Jefferson, and was going pretty fast. The cops were speeding down 23rd just to keep up with him. Also, the air was held open on the radio for a couple of minutes, meaning that there was a pretty significant officer safety situation.

  2. Unfortunately we don’t. CDNews world headquarters has some strict rules, established to maintain domestic bliss, that limit the scanner to daytime use in the office.

Can you be more specific about what & where of this 1am incident?

P.S. – If there’s any night owls that want to help cover the scanner activity in other parts of the day, here’s the scanner we have:

If you get one, let us know and we’ll show you how to program it for the most important stuff.

  3. 27th and Union. there were at least 3 police cars on the corner talking to a gentleman on the north side of the street

The above is from the incident list, the closest to 1 a.m. that I see any action. It’s the address of the senior citizen residence across from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, but I’m guessing it might have been a traffic accident in front of it.

  5. thanks. it might have been more like 1:15am. WEird b/c there were at least 6 cops and maybe 8.

the only thing I heard/saw was them talking to this man, walking the street with their flashlight, and then saying to him, “i’ll call you and let you know” and he cursed them as they drove off. Very weird.
