A sad situation at 23rd & Dearborn last night. A woman in her 20s was crossing 23rd when she was struck by a north-bound car. She was taken to Harborview where she later died of her injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Update: The Seattle Times reports that the victim has been identified as 53 year-old Karen Pritchett. It’s unclear whether she was a resident of the area.
